Every jogger the US seems to wear hooded shirt as do the footballers & many other sporty types. That concept is very alien the UK where is never associated with actually doing sports & to wear one whilst engaging sport would immediately identify you as an American. Wearing this item the UK says something entirely different about you.

In the UK you couldn t get further away from US blue collar university association hooded attire. The chav culture the lower classes the UK have called an icon its own. Chav culture & the wearing them is particularly popular among the teenagers the group whose brooding gangs gave rise to hoodie culture .

Not that long ago decision was taken England to ban the wearing them with the hood up shopping malls. This was due to the fear the hoodie culture & the crime associated with it. The criminal & gang associations are common to both the US & the UK however with the anonymity the unique hood offers alluring all kinds miscreants.

Even though the fashion briefly enjoyed designer glory the early nineties is still largely casual piece clothing that is enjoyed by the masses.
